A phlebotomy technician may be involved in a variety of healthcare settings, such as laboratories, blood banks, medical and diagnostic, and general medical and surgical hospitals. The responsibilities of a phlebotomy technician include drawing blood for testing, transfusion, donation or research, explaining procedures to patients and assisting in the recovery of patients with adverse reactions.
A patient care technician will provide or assist with basic care or support under the direction of on-site licensed nursing staff. A nursing assistant will perform tasks such as monitoring the health status, feeding, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, or ambulation of patients in a health or nursing facility. May include administering medications and other health-related tasks. Includes nursing care assistants, nursing aides and nursing assistants.
