A patient care technician is a health care technician who works under the supervision of a registered nurse, physician, or other health care professional to provide basic patient care.

Role of a patient care technician

Tasks may include taking vital signs, drawing blood and urine samples, performing basic diagnostic tests such as an electrocardiogram, and assisting the physician as needed.

How long does it take to become a Certified Patient Care Technician?

The study plan is scripted in classes for a minimum of 6 weeks (including clinical practice).
