Facials for All Skin Types
The skin is not just a tissue; it's the largest and most resilient organ of the body. Each person has a different skin type, and depending on which type it is, the measures to keep it hydrated and healthy will vary. Many factors determine the type of skin we have, such as genetics, climate (if it's very cold, your skin is drier; if it's hot, it's oilier), hormones, medications, the products you use on your skin for your facial or body care routine, and, importantly, your daily diet.
The skin is divided according to certain characteristics, and accordingly, the necessary care will be given to help maintain it in good physical condition. On the other hand, it also helps us provide internal care.
The skin is divided into 5 types:
- Hydrated, smooth, and elastic.
- Closed pores and uniform color.
- No excess sebum or blemishes.
- Dull, rough, and feels tight.
- Prone to flakiness and itching.
- Requires regular hydration and products without
fragrances or alcohol.
- Large pores and shiny.
- Prone to imperfections like blackheads and acne.
- Avoid oily products and exfoliate regularly.
- Dull, rough, and feels tight.
- Prone to flakiness and itching.
- Requires regular hydration and products without fragrances or alcohol.
- Oily areas on the forehead, nose, and chin (T-zone).
- May have normal or dry areas on the cheeks and around the eyes.
- Needs specific care for each area, such as deep
cleansing for oily areas and moisturizing for
dry areas.
Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a method of mechanical exfoliation that consists of producing a scraping, which will eliminate that layer surface of the skin composed of corneocytes, that is, cells dead, which will cause our body to replace them with new cells, in other words a new skin. It is an excellent technique for removing dead cells, in in which a surgical scalpel is used to gently scrape the surface of the skin to remove dead skin and hair from the face that make the face more dull. so that the skin is renewed, obtaining a uniform shine and healthy.
Advantages
The advantages of microneedling are
manifold. Firstly, it results in silkier, softer skin immediately
after the treatment, providing an instant boost to skin texture.
Additionally, it safely removes layers of dead skin and smooths
facial hair, contributing to a more refined appearance. Its efficacy
extends to all skin types, offering excellent results across the
board. Moreover, since it doesn't involve the use of metal-based
products, there's no risk of allergies, making it suitable for
sensitive skin. Microneedling also diminishes the visibility of acne
scars, enhancing overall skin appearance. Furthermore, by creating
micro-channels, it facilitates deeper penetration of cosmetic
products, maximizing their efficacy for optimal results.
Microdermabrasion
What is microdermabrasion?
Facial microdermabrasion is a treatment that carries out a deep cleansing of the skin using water and diamond tips. Likewise, it removes superficial dead cells, oil, and blackheads, while reducing pore size, softening the face, and attenuating scars. The result? Uniform and rejuvenated skin.
How does it help us?
Microdermabrasion is a controlled and precise procedure that uses microcrystals to achieve a superficial and gradual abrasion. This increases collagen production. A sweep is performed over the outer layer of the epidermis, and the skin is polished with tiny diamond or aluminum tips that have an exfoliating effect. Thus, imperfections, scars, wrinkles, and spots are eliminated or reduced, improving skin consistency and giving it a more uniform tone.
Advantages
Advantages of microdermabrasion Facial microdermabrasion is the most recommended technique for treating skin marks caused by aging, acne, or other factors that can damage the dermis. Additionally, the treatment also increases the circulation of blood capillaries in the skin and helps nourish and oxygenate it.
Microneedling
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that involves puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture. These micro-injuries trigger the body's natural healing response, leading to smoother, firmer skin and reduced appearance of wrinkles, scars, and other imperfections.
Benefits of Microneedling:
Microneedling offers a range of
benefits for skin rejuvenation. It effectively reduces visible signs
of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles, while diminishing
discoloration and acne scars, resulting in a more even complexion.
Furthermore, it enhances skin texture and tone, minimizing the
appearance of large pores for a smoother appearance. By stimulating
blood circulation, microneedling promotes skin vitality and
addresses various skin concerns, including fine lines and overall
skin health, leaving the skin looking rejuvenated and revitalized.
Number of Treatments Required
Typically, 3 to 5 treatment sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, are required to achieve optimal results, although this may vary based on individual needs and goals.
When Will Results Be Visible
Results
from microneedling are gradual, starting at a cellular level.
Generally, improvements can be observed within 2 weeks after each
treatment session, with continued enhancement in skin quality over
the following months.
Radiofrequency
What is Radiofrequency?
Radiofrequency is a non-invasive aesthetic treatment that applies heat to deeper layers of the dermis, aiming to rejuvenate the skin. It elevates skin temperature through micro-pulse electrical waves, stimulating blood circulation and promoting collagen and elastin production. By tricking the body into a regenerative response, it naturally revitalizes tissues. Besides rejuvenation, it sculpts the body, tightens skin, and enhances skin luminosity, applicable to both face and body for improved appearance.
Objectives:
The objectives of microneedling
encompass firming the skin, sculpting facial and body areas, shaping
fatty regions for improved aesthetics, promoting skin and body
contouring, and reducing the appearance of dark circles and
under-eye bags. Through its collagen-stimulating effects,
microneedling addresses various skin concerns, contributing to a
more toned, rejuvenated, and youthful appearance overall.
Expected Results: Immediate effects include collagen contraction, with gradual:
Microneedling facilitates collagen restructuring, leading to
increased tissue elasticity and visible improvement in skin texture
and appearance.
Contraindications: Avoid radiofrequency treatment during:
Contraindications for microneedling
with radiofrequency treatment include pregnancy and lactation,
severe heart conditions, coagulation disorders, the use of
pacemakers or defibrillators, and excessive overweight. It's
essential to consider these factors to ensure the safety and
effectiveness of the procedure for each individual.
Plasma Rich in Platelets (PRP)
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a
regenerative procedure aimed at stimulating collagen, elastin, and
epidermal tissue production, resulting in smoother, more luminous
skin. Its purpose extends to rejuvenating facial skin, correcting
issues like stretch marks, joint degeneration, burns, and surgical
skin loss. During the procedure, plasma is extracted from the
patient's blood and injected into the targeted area to promote
tissue regeneration. Preparation involves cleaning and numbing the
area, followed by drawing blood and injecting the obtained plasma
using fine needles. Post-procedure care includes applying arnica
cream, avoiding sun exposure, and refraining from strenuous
activities immediately afterward to optimize results and minimize
potential side effects.
