An electrocardiogram technician may perform tests on patients' pulmonary and cardiovascular systems for diagnostic, therapeutic or research purposes. EKG technicians may also perform or assist in electrocardiograms, cardiac catheterizations, pulmonary functions, lung capacity and similar tests.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency technique that combines chest compressions and rescue breaths (mouth-to-mouth) to maintain circulation and breathing in a person who has stopped breathing or has a stopped heart.

A nursing assistant will provide or assist with basic care or support under the direction of the licensed nursing staff on site. A nursing assistant will perform tasks such as monitoring health status, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, or ambulation of patients in a health or nursing facility.
